After the earthquake

The Board and staff at Te Kura send its best wishes to students and families in the Canterbury area who are coping with the aftermath of the earthquake.

We are coordinating our own response so that there is as little disruption as possible for our students in the Canterbury district.

As Canterbury schools begin to reopen, we encourage students to resume their school work if they feel able to do so.

Student work

Boxes of learning materials have been couriered to the home address of one of our teachers in Riccarton so that work can be on-posted to students or collected. There are some courier delays in Christchurch itself, and some work is being held at the depot. We hope to be able to pick up that work as soon as possible.

Students can ring the school any time to get help and advice about their studies from their Learning Advisors.

NZQA and Te Kura exams

NZQA has given assurance that no Canterbury student will be disadvantaged in either their internal or external assessments. See their website for details.

The same goes for our internal examinations. No Canterbury student will be disadvantaged. We are recording the extenuating circumstances of individual students.
