Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu (Te Kura) provides distance education from early childhood level to Year 13 to around 26,000 students every year. Our students come from a wide range of backgrounds with diverse learning needs.
Our vision is to enable our students to achieve both their educational and personal goals, empowering them to become engaged and contributing members of our communities, and we need high quality teaching and specialist staff to help us achieve this.
As the largest school in New Zealand, Te Kura touches the lives of thousands of students each year. We are in a unique position to forge new paths and develop new ways of engaging learners. We work with whānau, communities and other agencies to enhance our students’ engagement and achievement through personalised and authentic learning programmes.
Te Kura takes pride in selecting the best people to join our school. Every member of our staff has an important role to play in making sure our students have every opportunity to achieve their goals.
If you’d like to join New Zealand’s largest school and be part of a professional, innovative, dedicated and friendly team, we’d love to hear from you.
