Te Kura employs over 600 people across the country. We have over 400 teachers, 130 specialist and support staff and over 100 teacher aides.
We believe our most valuable asset is our people. We strive to provide our staff the opportunity to progress their careers through leadership development opportunities, curriculum development and online learning, ‘Education 3.0 pedagogy’ and other specialist areas. We give priority to professional aspirations and work/life balance.
Part of our culture is to strive for constant innovation. We encourage our staff to be creative in integrating 21st century technology skills with teaching and operations for the benefit of our students and staff.
We value diversity, individuality and culture (biculturalism and multiculturalism). Our collective diversity and commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive environment are integral to the way we work because we believe that they are vital to the success of our students.
You’ll find more detailed information about our staff and our students on our About us pages.
