Welcome to the 2019 Advisories!
Advisories are the space where you have an opportunity to work with a small group of students and your Learning Advisor on skills and strategies for success and support for planning for the future.
It’s a collaborative and fun space where once a week you get to connect with your peers and get help with your studies.
This year you are encouraged to attend weekly advisories. Students have told us that attending Advisories makes a big difference to their learning and experience at Te Kura.
The advisories are an opportunity to learn about:
- How Te Kura works.
- How your Learning Advisor can help you to get organized.
- Good study habits and setting goals.
- What it means to be a good supervisor.
- NCEA qualifications.
- My Te Kura – the online learning environment.
- Authentic Learning opportunities including Star, Gateway and Trades Academy courses.
- Career possibilities.
If you would look to meet your Learning advisor at the advisory, please remember to phone or email beforehand to let them know you are attending.
We are all really looking forward to seeing you and your whanau.
