Access to government-funded dual tuition

The following schools are eligible to register Year 1–15 domestic students with Te Kura for government-funded dual tuition: state and state-integrated schools, partnership schools, kura hourua and the private schools Ambury Park Centre, Odyssey House and Hohepa School. 

Students must meet the entry criteria for one of the registration gateways.

Fee-paying students

Domestic and international students may be registered with Te Kura on a fee-paying basis. The fee is charged to the enrolling school. Refer to our fees schedule for more information. 

State and state integrated schools

This gateway is for domestic students and international students who:

Private schools 

From 1 January 2019, private schools no longer receive government-funded access to dual tuition with Te Kura except for the private schools Ambury Park Centre, Odyssey House and Hohepa School, which have retained government funded-access due to the schools’ character and role in supporting vulnerable children and young people.
