Te Kura Summer School registrations
Te Kura accepts short-term registrations over the summer break. Te Kura Summer School is a learning programme available for eligible ākonga (students) who require up to 12 NCEA credits to progress to further study, training, or employment.
Te Kura Summer School runs from 20 December 2021 to 11 February 2022.

Eligibility
Summer School ākonga must be:
- A New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or verified domestic student
- Residing in New Zealand
- Registering to complete a NCEA Certificate or Endorsement requiring up to:
- 12 credits (if registering before results are released by NZQA)
- 6 credits (if registering after results are released by NZQA)

Dual ākonga
- Enrolled in another school in 2021 and returning to school in 2022 (you may also have had a dual enrolment with both Te Kura and your school in 2021)
- In Year 11 or 12 in 2021
- Aiming to complete an NCEA qualification with Te Kura Summer School before returning to your school in 2022
- Registration is free for most ākonga
Young Adult ākonga
- Not intending to enrol in a school in 2022
- Aged 16-19 (not turning 20 in 2022)
- Aiming to pick up a few credits for further study, training, or employment
- Registration is free for most ākonga
Adult ākonga
- Not intending to enrol in a school in 2022
- Turning 20 or older in 2022
- Aiming to pick up a few credits for further study, training, or employment
- Registration requires an Administration Tuition Fee of $116 per course
Current Full-time or Young Adult Te Kura ākonga
- Currently enrolled as a Full-time or Young Adult Te Kura ākonga (not a dual enrolment with Te Kura and another school)
- Not turning 20 in 2022
- In Years 11-13
- Note that My Te Kura is available throughout the summer break. Summer School is mainly for ākonga requiring up to 12 NCEA credits to progress to further study, training, or employment.
