What you need to do
All full-time secondary, young adult, and adult ākonga can apply for a student ID card by filling out the online form.
You'll need to attach a photo when you apply for your ID card. Photos should be a similar style to passport photos.
If you are an ākonga in Christchurch, you'll need to download a separate application form and send it with your payment to the address specified on the form.

- a plain, light-coloured background
- good lighting, not too bright or too dark
- your face needs to be in full view - nothing can hide any part of your face, such as a hat or a hood
- you can wear glasses or a head scarf.
Apply for your Te Kura student ID card
PlastiCard provides student ID cards for most Te Kura ākonga. You'll need to apply and pay for your card online.
